cherry season is on !
A French traditional dessert to enjoy the last moments of summer …
- 800 grams of cherries ( I kept mine in port wine for a year, it adds extra taste)
- 100 grams of flour ( spelt)
- 2 vanilla pods
- 250 ml of milk ( Almond milk is perfect for this recipe)
- 30 grams of sugar
- 3 eggs
Mix the flour, milk,eggs, vanilla and sugar with a kitchen aid ( it is the same basic recipe as for crêpes by the way.. but thicker).
Set the cherries in the bottom of your form and pour the dough over.
25 minutes in the oven.
Sprinkle with sugar at the end.
the cake should be eaten a little bit warm ..
